Since November is the month where those of us in the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving, here’s some ideas to help YOU become more grateful this month!

1. Keep a gratitude journal. Every morning when you wake up or every night before bed, write down 3-5 things you’re grateful for! Pretty soon you’ll have a long list of all your blessings to look back on when things get hard!

2. Write down people, places, and things, that make you feel good on post-its and put them around your house. Every time you see a note you’ll get a surge of gratitude for those items!

3. Watch how you talk. Be mindful of how much you’re complaining or whining about life and see if you can add more moments in your day when you say things like “Life can be hard but so am I” or “This is a great life lesson I can teach my kids.”

4. Look for ways to give back. When we find ways to bless others, it gets us out of our own head and focusing on the greater good which always increases our gratitude for the blessings we have.
